Education app — Minderoo

Empowering parents and caregivers with free access to early childhood development research, tools and support.

The project

Thrive by Five is a free app that houses tailored education content for children under the age of five. Earmarked to be rolled out to 30 countries, the app’s content is localised and translated to provide parents and caregivers with useful, culturally-relevant activities and support in their parenting journey — particularly in the critical early years.

The task

Armed with the activities, we needed to build a destination that would facilitate connection, education and support for parents and caregivers — many who would have limited digital literacy or familiarity with tools of this nature. The app needed to be simple enough to navigate, detailed enough to provide real value, and engaging enough to ensure repeat visitation. We also needed to design for low connectivity and consideration for older device usage.

The goal

To build, test and optimise a prototype with modularity and flexibility, allowing for hyper-localisation for each market.
